Serato Scratch Live 2.5 comes loaded with a bunch of key features including: Support for Serato. I just feel like it could be a bit frustrating if you aren't familiar with it and aren't going to use 90% of the features anyways. Note: Serato Scratch Live has been replaced with Serato DJ. There's not going to be any meaningful difference between the 2 in terms of scratching performance, so from a purely $ perspective there's no disadvantage of going for Traktor. Generally I would recommend if people are doing live remixing/midi intensive mapping/using lots of external controllers, then go for Traktor, but if you're not going to do that stuff, Serato is the better option. Serato is more stream lined, and more stable (in my experience). If you're not taking advantage of them, it's kind of just extra clutter. I've used both but Traktor is a bit overwhelming and has a zillion bells and whistles. IMO if you're just scratching go for Serato, especially since you're familiar with it already.
